The Store at Grant Design Collaborative Featured in October Issue of Metropolis
06 October 2009 - The Store at Grant Design Collaborative will be featured in Metropolis magazine's upcoming October issue. As part of the international architecture and design publication's feature on "Retail Strategies for a Tough Economy," the article touches upon the company's philosophy and thoughts on opening the Store. According to Grant Design Collaborative President and Creative Director Bill Grant, the shop is "a laboratory for feedback on the products we create. It also brings all our disciplines – graphic, product and interior design – together." The publication is scheduled to hit newsstands on October 8th. Metropolis covers all aspects of design—from architecture to interior design, products to wayfinding, landscape design to urban planning—for an audience of design professionals.

In other Store news, Grant Design Collaborative has joined other designers from across the country in new online retail venue, the Felt & Wire Shop. Developed by Mohawk Fine Papers, the site offers a retail channel for a diverse group of design-driven companies to market their paper goods. Officially launched to the public on September 28th, the site features a broad selection of Grant products previously only available at the firm’s retail location in Canton, Georgia. Browse and shop the Store’s current paper goods offerings online at http://grantdesign.feltandwireshop.com.

Among the items offered through the online site are handmade masks and cards from the Store at Grant Design Collaborative's new Halloween 2009 collection. The limited-edition series also includes sets of hand-stamped luminary bags, hip day-glow skull buttons, t-shirts and cards, and playful hand-screened pillowcase trick-or-treat bags.
